Crappy, Crap, Crap.

Hi friends. Sorry I haven't post quite as often as I was planning. It's been one of those weird weeks. My four year old has not only been hanging on my nerves, but swinging and bouncing in some sort of attempt I'm guessing to see if they will come unattached. He is seriously testing me and I feel like my parenting skills are falling apart with him. Crap being a Mom is hard. I downright S-U-C-K at it sometimes. Thank goodness for those precious moments that let you know you are doing ok. LOVE them both...but MAN,

Guess how many days I've gotten ready this week? ONE. Two if you include one day I went out dressed but without make-up. Ugh....the nerve. : O Oh well, you can't win them all. But next week is a new week! I will try again.

I'm still in the process of figuring out exactly what I want the content of this bolt to be. I'm relying mostly on your feedback so any opinions I am graciously accepting right now. I love the outlet of it. It will undoubtedly get me in trouble from time to time but that's just what my mouth does. I think it has a mind of it's own.

I promise I'm not giving up on this but I am going to take the rest of the week off to figure out what ya'll love to read about. I know we can't all relate to being a stay at home mom, but we can relate to being a woman. Except for my few male family members that are reluctantly being supportive and reading just for that sake. (Love you guys!)
Plus I want to try to keep it positive, but as we all know life is not always positive and I want to keep honesty a part of this as well. Hence why I told you about my craptastic effort to get ready this week.

Anyway, I would love to be able to put a smile on each and everyone of your sweet faces so without further adue, I give you........

 Channing

You're welcome ;)

  1. I personally love reading about anything you post. Variety is important in life. Food (which you're great at), getting pretty (I need all the advice possible) and even about your kids and what you do with them at home (cause I too am a SAHM). It's been great to feel part of your life again.

  2. I think just putting down your thoughts and life's lessons you have personally learned is deemed worthy of blogging about. This is your blog so stop worrying so much about the readers. :) This is your outlet as you said so use it when you need it. I am sure that we as women, mother's, friends, or daughters can all relate at some point to your posts. You are doing great. Just take the week off and as for your post...Take parenting one day at a time. We can't be supermom everyday. Somedays we are allowed a little unraveling. Being a mom is hard. If I am being honest we do most of the caring for the children and at times it is well, pretty much dang bea impossible not to start to feel like we are losing our nerve. I think what helps me at times is remembering that my children feel just as lost as I do, but they are looking to me for guidance in how to deal with certain situations. I know I have lost it at times, but the times I push that thought into my head Jesse and I get through a tiff just that much better. I really would suggest to read 'Scream Free Parenting.' It has so much helpful advice. (I think it works with adults too) Anyways, go take a bubble bath and just relax. -I do have to add-I have done fantastic with the getting ready. I will be 5 for 6 today. Can I get a woot, woot? Tuesday was a bad day.

  3. I think it is helpful to see that everyone but yourself is NOT perfect. My mum would go to parties and while everyone was standing around tight lipped, she'd tell how crazy her kids were and what we'd gotten up to (all 5 of us). everyone relaxed, lightened up and a good time was had by all. (except maybe my dad, his company party and all, lol, just kidding, he had fun too)
Just hearing some of your coping skills, or letting us give you some of ours.

chin up, those babies will be 6 foot tall and out the door before you know it. treasure every messy moment. xox
